Self-generated revenues
An important goal of Adishakti is self-sustainability
To this end, Adishakti has deliberately increased its self-generated revenues, which are derived from:
Guest-house rentals, Performance fees, and Produce sales – cow's milk and coconuts.
In the past Adishakti has also derived revenue from interest on grants. However, these grants have been expended on programs, development and operations and interest is not expected to continue.

Future financial requirements

In order to achieve its plans for the future, Adishakti anticipates growth in expenditure between 2005-2007. While self-generated revenue is also predicted to grow, budget forecasts show that in the absence of alternative additional funding, Adishakti will experience a significant shortfall in future years.

The need to raise a Corpus

Adishakti is seeking to raise a Rupees 6 Crore Corpus over the next 3 years from interested organizations and individuals. (It has already raised Rs. 500,000 from the Sir Ratan Tata Trust towards this Corpus). The Corpus will be preserved, and part of the interest generated from it will be used along with Adishakti's self-generated income to finance operational costs. The rest will be “ploughed back” into the Corpus. Such a scheme will give Adishakti more certainty over its otherwise precarious future, and enable it to accommodate program growth and inflation.
